Ships can be ordered with simple clicks and through drag-and-drop operations to set their future path and commands. Manage your empire with a powerful mapOnce you have more ships and many NPCs working for you as pilots, crew or station managers, the map will be your preferred method of managing it all. Races expand their empire based on supply and demand, which leads to an extremely dynamic universe where every action the player makes can influence the course of the entire universe. Experience the most dynamic X universe everX4 is the first X game to allow our races and factions to freely build and expand their empires the same flexibility the player enjoys in creatively designing space stations from modular building blocks is also available to them. Engines, weapons and other equipment can be added in a graphical editor and actually seen on the ship. The powerful new map system allows you to drag and connect modules using a connection system to design your own unique creations. Stations can be constructed from a variety of modules, be it production modules, living sections, docks or many other types of parts. In X4, it is now possible to be completely free and creative. After gaining enough money through fighting or trading, most players want to establish their own economy and start influencing the universe on a larger scale. You can leave a ship, climb down a ladder, walk over the dock of a large space station into another ship you may have parked there and replace the pilot that was working for you just by clicking on his chair.īuild space stations and upgrade your shipsBuilding space stations and factories has always been a foundation of the X games. A big focus in the development of X4 has been to achieve a seamless and immersive experience when moving between ships. From small scouts over a wide range of ship classes up to the biggest carrier, everything can be piloted from the cockpit or an external view. Fly every shipX4 allows you to fly all ships personally. Focus on exploration, make money with illegal trading and theft, command large battle fleets or become the greatest entrepreneur ever. No matter how you start, you are always free to develop in any other direction. Start your journeyIn X4, you can start your journey from a number of different gamestarts and as a number of different characters, each with their own role, set of relationships and different ships and technologies to start with. Transition seamlessly from first-person action, boarding ships and visiting their bridges, to an expansive strategy and management simulation. In this universe, you can grow from being the lone pilot of a fighter ship, to managing a vast empire, commanding your fleets and designing colossal space stations. Thousands of ships and stations trade, mine and produce, all realistically simulated. One would need a certain kind of ship, another would need boots on the ground another would need a ship that can withstand the Plasma fields in space or be very fast to avoid god knows what ect.X4 is a living, breathing space sandbox running entirely on your PC. This would make running cargo at different location be very different experiences. The crappy routes quickly become more profitable while the easy routes quickly become non viable, then they can correct themselves back again You can have a distant place that eventually has huge values for products because they are never bought there because of heavy pirate, or a an army on the ground or a black hole or whatever makes it dangerous. That would make trading a self balancing mechanic. As a commodity is bought in one place, the price of it should go up there while the price drops everywhere else. You would think that the game would adjust prices automatically as they are bought and sold to make trading n actual game and not something that boils down to "the best routes" done by a single spreadsheet in 4 hours. Lastly i encurage you to try out this one: Yes its not nearly as braindead as before and there is a lot of risk involved but trading is more "refined" as it was before. Point is you can easily make 2000 aUEC flying a trading roundtrip. Routes change heavily depending on how much SCU you can haul or how much money you have and since prices change within a day some routes dry up. Cellin Tram & Myers Mining (sell Distilled Spirits buy Corundum/Diamonds).Cellin Gallet Family Farms (sell Agriculture Supply buy Distilled Spirits). If you don't have a lot of money to start with its now a good idea to make multiple point trading routes, because the simple: A->B->A->B doesn't work anymore. Its just a lot more difficult to make money (you have to be careful with checking prices all the time) and more in line with what mining and missions give you in terms of money/hour. I am now into my second day of trading and i can assure you that trading is not broken at all.
